Bmw Pga Championship Cut

BMW PGA Championship Resumes on Saturday

Format Altered to Honor Royal Family

The BMW PGA Championship, scheduled to take place at Wentworth Club, will resume on Saturday, September 17th, as a 54-hole event. This decision was made as a gesture of respect for the passing of Queen Elizabeth II and the subsequent mourning period in Great Britain.

54-Hole Format

The format of the tournament has been modified from the standard 72-hole format to accommodate the shortened schedule. A cut will be made after the first 36 holes, with the top 65 players and ties advancing to the weekend rounds. Pairings and tee times for the third and fourth rounds will be based on scores following the cut.

The tournament, which is the biggest on the DP World Tour, will be played entirely on the Saturday and Sunday. The cutline at Wentworth Club has been set at 1-under par, meaning everyone who has scored 1-under par or better will qualify for the weekend rounds.
