Ronaldo Sent Off as Al Hilal Advance

Hilal Dominate Local Derby, Book Place in Finals

In a thrilling Saudi Super Cup semi-final, Al Hilal emerged victorious over fierce city rivals Al Nassr, securing their spot in the tournament's final with a hard-fought 2-1 victory. The match, held at the iconic King Fahd Stadium in Abu Dhabi, was marked by high-intensity action and a dramatic finish.

Al Hilal took the lead in the 12th minute through a well-taken goal from Saleh Al-Shehri. The visitors responded strongly, with Cristiano Ronaldo leveling the score in the 45th minute. However, their joy was short-lived as Luciano Vietto restored Al Hilal's advantage just seven minutes into the second half.

The match reached boiling point in the 77th minute when Ronaldo was shown a straight red card for a reckless tackle on Al Hilal's Ali Al Bulayhi. The dismissal seemed to inspire Al Nassr, but they were unable to find an equalizer despite their numerical disadvantage.

Al Hilal held on to their slender lead, securing their progression to the final. They will now face either Al Ittihad or Al Feiha for the Super Cup trophy.
